Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement”, consist of a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling.
Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like. It is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another connecting movement with breath. The variable nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as preventing repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same things every day. Vinyasa classes are often quite dynamic, which requires the mind to stay focused in the present. The practice itself is like a moving meditation.
