Aerial Yoga Teacher Training Course
“Aerial yoga is a balance between hanging on and letting go”
It’s a combination of classical hatha asanas and aerial circus arts. This practice will add new challenge to traditional yoga poses and is accessible to everyone, even complete yoga beginners. We use the swing to strengthen the muscles, find more length in the spine and play with the gravity. Swing also helps to find safe and correct alignment not only in the tricky inversions but in most yoga poses.
Aerial yoga is a chance to bring your yoga practice to a higher level, to play and fly, to try something different, to put yourself in the position you never thought you could be in. Upon successful completion, you receive a certificate of continued education. Blue Indigo is a certified school and our teachers are certified by Yoga Alliance.

Agni born in Poland, discovered yoga in 2008 during her first visit to India. After 10 years of aerobics and pilates practice in no time she changed fitness club to yoga studio and started to practice Iyengar Yoga in her hometown. 4 years later she completed 200h YATTC (Yoga Alliance TTC) with Trimurti Yoga in India.Since then she travels the world, teaching, learning and sharing her passion for yoga,dance and hula hoop. She regularly teaches 50 hours aerial and 200 hours yoga teacher training courses in Thailand and Cambodia, and teaches different styles such as hatha, vinyasa, yin, and aerial yoga.
She believes that yoga helps to connect with the inner self, to feel more grounded and safe, makes life easier and enjoyable. Her intention is to motivate her students to explore their own potential, to discover love, peace, and happiness within, to heal body and mind through the power of yoga and movement.
We start the day at 6am with 90 minutes aerial yoga, we then have breakfast followed by a break, and start again at 9 with lectures where we explore a different topic together everyday.
At 10am we learn analyze and practice each yoga pose for a good understanding. Lunch bell rings at 12 followed by a break. We resume at 2:30 for either self-practice or learning to teach our classmates. From 3:30 to 5pm, we do different aerial workshops (partner, pilates aerial, acro aerial) and finish the day from 5 to 6 with one hour aerial and we finish the day with one hour restorative yoga, sometimes using swings.
Dinner is open and we usually walk to one of many restaurants and street food stalls nearby.
Siem Reap is renowned for it’s magnificent temples. As the largest religious and spiritual monument known today, the area has a unique culture and vibration, with deep roots in Theravada Buddhism. You will experience that spiritual culture while practicing at the center or in the countryside, under the shade of centenary trees and archeological wonders.
You will be staying at the Blue Indigo yoga retreat center located 10 minutes away from the Siem Reap riverside. The center is designed as a spiritual retreat center and suits our needs very well. The center comprises of comfortable seven wooden cottages, each 30 sq. m. with a ceiling fan to keep the atmosphere cool and mosquito nets. Each cottage has lovely bathroom with shower. The cottages are nestled in a tranquil area surrounded by trees and flowers for a lovely atmosphere.
In the center of the property there is a 100 square meter shala (room) for yoga and meditation. The shala is built with traditional materials and is very well ventilated. There is a garden for meals.
Our Khmer cook serve essentially Khmer vegan meals, with seasonal fruits and vegetables. These meals are perfectly balanced and participate in your physical and spiritual welfare. The food served during your retreat will be nutritious and homemade variety of vegan dishes with local ingredients and an added French twist. It’s a fusion of Cambodian ingredients and tastes with some French insights. Meals are served in a shaded garden, simple and friendly.
Breakfast typically starts around 07:35 includes honey, bread, porridge, yogurts and oats. Teas are specialty and mixes of the house, with flower aromas. Lunch is served at 12. It’s simple and light like banana leaf salad, amok (local specialty), curries, baked or stir-fried vegetables, and rice.
The temperature is hot in Cambodia. We adapt the active schedule around the hot hours of the day to enjoy the cooler mornings and evenings. The shalas have fans and are outdoors, so there is cool breeze all around.
Mind that the gate closes at 10pm, after that time we lock.
At the retreat please note that you may encounter animals (cats, dogs, chicken, frigs…), insects and mosquitoes. This is a garden setting. Please note that the dry season is from March to August. Check-in time is 7:30am – 9pm.
Check-out time is 11:30am – 12 noon. We don’t provide toiletries.

Arrival by airplane: Please book your flight to arrive at Siem Reap International Airport (REP). From the airport to retreat, you may take a tuk tuk; let us know your arrival flight number and time, we will send a pickup.
