Total beginners with no experience can do aerial. Ages range from 18-65. We do not teach advanced poses or anything too difficult. However, we do offer many advanced options and give students freedom to collaborate and be creative. We encourage students to be gentle and rest.

Aerial Yoga is a mix of yoga, acrobatics, pilates and physical therapy. Mostly, it is easier than normal yoga because we use swings to support our body weight so our muscles don’t work as hard. The swings allows us to move more freely, stretch easier, attain correct alignment and do advanced poses such as handstands and inversions. Aerial offers great therapeutic benefits by using gravity to stretch the spine, relieve back pain and heal injuries.

Become an instructor and start a new career or join as a fun retreat. During this training, Ulu Yoga will teach you their original aerial vinyasa flow class, which is a set sequence mix of traditional yoga, pilates, acrobatics, and physical therapy. The poses are easy for total beginners, but can be adapted to challenge advanced students. .We practice variations of this class every day with detailed books and videos to give you a core foundation. We teach you our original sequenced flow. It is a mix of traditional hatha yoga, vinyasa, pilates, acrobatics and therapeutics. We focus more on building strength and flexibility with simple beginner poses and standard fitness exercises. Students practice teaching everyday and design original classes.

We do daily workshops in aerial partner choreography, aerial acro fusion, aerial vinyasa, aerial restorative, normal partner yoga and beginner acro.

We teach you to make swings so you can start your own business, rig bars to set up studios, tie ropes to hang from trees, make tripods to do aerial outdoors, even in the ocean. We take awesome pictures and quality videos of you practicing and teaching so you can review and develop your skills, promote yourself and get a job.

Our swings are a unique design made with yoga mats for precision fit. They are safer and more comfortable than silks, belts and hammocks. We sell them at the retreat.

Aerial helps us easily achieve basic and advanced poses, stretch deeper and fly around like kids 🙂 Inversions and traction help decompress the spine, relieve back pain, realign the vertebra, relieve nerve and disc pressure.

Registered Yoga Alliance receive a Certificate of Continued Education, which they can register online. ULU YOGA is YACEP (Edward Pawlak 197661). Students receive a certificate from Ulu Yoga (Edward Pawlak), who is a Continuing Education Provider through Yoga Alliance. This is the highest international certification available for aerial yoga. Many studios, gyms and resorts accept this as a qualified teaching credential, but each place has their own rules and requirements. Some places also require you to complete a standard 200hr Yoga teacher training. Yoga Alliance members can register our course online as additional training hours.

There is no official Aerial Yoga anywhere by anyone. Every teacher or school makes their own style and calls it something unique, like Silks, Anti-Gravity, Fly High and so on. We all use different hammocks, belts, silks and swings.
